Chartered Mediator
Adam has conducted many mediations in family law, labour, employment, civil litigation, business disputes and non-profit organization disputes. He is an accredited Mediator of Family and Divorce Conflicts, certified by the Legal Education Society of Alberta. He has also acted as counsel in a large variety of arbitration, court proceedings, negotiations and hearings as legal counsel in the areas of civil litigation, class action lawsuits/settlements and family law proceedings. Adam was appointed King’s Counsel in 2015 and is a Chartered Arbitrator
and a Chartered Mediator. He is a current member of the Collaborative Divorce Alberta Association. He is a former Bencher of the Law Society of Alberta, having chaired and adjudicated numerous disciplinary hearings. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Dhillon School of Business and teaches management law, employment and labour law, and negotiation courses. His post-graduate degree (LLM) is in International Dispute Resolution. Adam was the Chair of the Designations Committee for the ADR Institute of Alberta and was the Chair of the Designations Committee for the ADR Institute of Canada.

Robert G. Harvie, KC, Q.Arb
Rob graduated with Law Degree from University of British Columbia in 1985 and was called to Alberta Bar in 1986. He is currently practicing family litigation, with emphasis on high value asset and business matters, along with Alternate Dispute Resolution, including Mediation, Arbitration and Collaborative Law. Rob is a past Bencher with the Law Society of Alberta 2012 to 2017, sitting as past Chair of Access to Justice Committee, Chair of the Family Law Advisory Committee and Chair of the Retention and Re-engagement Task Force and was an adjudicator on Law Society Disciplinary hearings from 2012 to 2017.
Rob was named member of Queen’s Counsel in January 2012. He was chair of the Editorial Board for Law Matters (CBA Alberta Publication) and Steering Committee member for the 2013 LESA Family Law Practice Manual, and chair of the Alberta Limited Scope Retainer Project. He is a Board member and Past-President of Collaborative Divorce Alberta Association, and past International Issues Editor of the Collaborative Review (International Association of Collaborative Professionals publication). He is also an Advisory Board member of the National Self-Represented Litigants Project (University of Windsor). Rob was a recent presenter at the CBA West Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, November 2017, presenting on the use of Limited Scope Retainers, and past presenter for CBA and Legal Education Society of Alberta continuing legal education programs for lawyers. He has numerous articles published with LawNow and Law Matters, and former featured writer with “Be Fulfilled” – online publication of the International Association of Collaborative Professionals.
Rob completed Training in May 2017 with ADR Institute of Canada National Arbitration Course, delivered by the ADR Institute of Alberta, and successful completion of examinations and is a Qualified Arbitrator.

Barb Lamont, JD
Barb received her B.A. from the University of Lethbridge in 1982, graduated with a law degree from the University of Alberta in 1985 and has been practicing law in Lethbridge for 30+ years. She has concentrated her legal practice mainly on estate and family law matters, utilizing interest based negotiation skills, with a special interest in assisting separating parents resolve their parenting, support, and property division issues.
Barb is a past board member and past President of the Lethbridge Bar Association, a member/board member and secretary for the Lethbridge Association of Collaborative Professionals since 2003, a member of the Collaborative Divorce Alberta Association and a ast member of Domestic Violence Action Team. She has training in Mediation of Family and Divorce Conflicts; Collaborative Law training; Interdisciplinary Collaborative Law Training; Advanced Collaborative Negotiation Training and she has attended Association of Family & Conciliation Courts (AFCC) in Edmonton regarding Voice of the Child and Children who resist post separation contact. Barb has mediated hundreds of files through Family Settlement Services, Subsidized Family Mediation Program and as private mediator.
Barb was born and raised in Lethbridge. Most of her community and civic activities revolve around the activities of her two sons.

Emily Tilleman, JD, BMgt
Certified Mediator
Emily Tilleman completed a summer internship and her articles at LETOURNEAU LLP with Adam Letourneau, QC as her principal. She is an associate lawyer and a mediator with the firm. Emily graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Hailing from Taber, Alberta she was awarded a management degree, specializing in finance, at the University of Lethbridge. Her degree followed two years at Olds College, where she played college volleyball and completed her business administration diploma. Emily has volunteered with the LEVEL advocacy group, Lethbridge Legal Guidance, the YWCA, and was co-president of University of Saskatchewan Sisters in Law club. Emily enjoys reading, travel, sports and spending time with friends and family especially her two family dogs, Oliver and Bennie.
Emily currently has a general practice, with a focus on Family Law, Mediation, Real Estate and Estate Planning and Administration, although she has various other legal area interests.
Emily is a certified mediator, and enjoys helping people to resolve their family law and other disputes.

Tyler is a passionate mediator who truly believes in the mediation process as a great way to work towards resolution in family law disputes related to divorce, parenting, custody, child support, spousal/partner support, and division of property.
Tyler is an accredited Mediator of Family and Divorce Conflicts, certified by the Legal Education Society of Alberta. Tyler trained to become a family law mediator under Dr. Larry Fong Ph.D., R. Psych. and Rhoda Dobler Q.C. Tyler maintains a creative and open-minded approach to resolution, with a focus on helping people protect, maintain, and ensure their interests. Tyler’s passion for mediation began when he attended the University of Calgary Faculty of Law and was successful in the regional American Bar Association Negotiation Competition and then proceeded to compete internationally, sponsored and mentored by Dentons LLP.
Tyler is also a lawyer who has practiced solely in the area of Divorce and Family Law since becoming a lawyer with experience in the Provincial Court of Alberta, Provincial Court of British Columbia, Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, and the Alberta Court of Appeal. Tyler is truly passionate about helping people with their Divorce and Family Law issues and this is why his legal practice focuses only on divorce and family law.

Jesse Wilde, B.A., LL.B., M.S.
Jesse is a partner in the Lethbridge law firm of Huckvale LLP. He graduated from the University of Alberta Law School in 1985, and has been a member of the Law Society of Alberta since 1986. In addition to being a Certified Arbitrator since 2017, Jesse has been a Certified Mediator for the past 20 years. His law practice of more than 30 years has focused primarily on family law, civil litigation, real estate and estate planning. Ryan Anderson, KC, JD

Ryan is a partner of Huckvale LLP. He has been practicing law since 2002 and has been doing family law and estate mediations since 2009. Ryan has extensive experience dealing with all issues of family law, estates, and agricultural issues. His role as a mediator is helping people find solutions to their own problems. Mediation is not an easy process as people need to decide what they can and cannot live with and hopefully achieve some closure on matters.
Ryan serves as a Bencher for the Law Society of Alberta (Board Member) 2018-present, is a board member of the Legal Education Society of Alberta, has presented for the LESA to family law practitioners in Calgary and Edmonton, and is the past Chair of SASH serving members of the community with developmental disabilities. Ryan was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2020.

Emily Lyon, BA, JD

Emily’s practice offers a broad range of legal services, and includes both mediation and litigation. Emily has a special focus on family law disputes related to separation and divorce, parenting, child support, spousal/partner support, and the division of property. She also practices in the areas of Real Estate, Wills and Estates, and Municipal law. Her conflict resolution approach is guided by her detailed knowledge of the law, as well as her compassionate and, when appropriate, creative approach.
Emily was awarded her Honours B.A. from the University of Ottawa, and her J.D. from the University of Calgary. She is an accredited Mediator certified by the Legal Education Society of Alberta.
Outside of the office, Emily is actively involved in the community, including volunteering her time at Lethbridge Legal Guidance and YWCA Lethbridge. Emily has previously worked on various research and community outreach projects with Level Canada, an organization committed to breaking down barriers to justice, and Probono Students Canada, the largest pro bono organization in Canada. Emily’s other interests and community activities orbit around the activities of her three teenagers.

Registered Family Mediator
Micheline Maes is a Registered Family Mediator who also holds the Certified Financial Planner, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst and Elder Planning Counselor designations. Micheline is a Registered Family Mediator in Alberta and is also on the Mediate BC Family Roster. Her home base is Cochrane, but she offers mediation in all Southern Alberta, Kelowna and Vancouver Island.
Micheline served on the board for the Alberta Collaborative Professionals as a Financial neutral for 2 years. She decided to sell her financial planning practice in 2013 to devote herself full time to alternative dispute resolution with focus on family, and financial education for her clients facing difficult decisions. She provides mediation/negotiation services in a unique format in the areas of separation, divorce and estate settlements. Micheline’s financial planning background brings a much-needed level of expertise and clarity to the table.
Most recently, Micheline founded The Lion Heart Project, which offers equine facilitated assistance to people going through life transitions, as well as corporate team building and personal development. Micheline is an avid horsewoman, mother of 4 and grandmother of 2.
